Project book editing

Image
I'm currently in the process of putting together the final design for our project book using Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator. The first screenshot here is of the background design for all the pages. The second screenshot is of the cover page so far. I'm creating outlines of our profile pictures from the About page of our website which can be seen above as I've created the outlines for Emma and Nhu. I've gone with a faded pastel pink and blue as the main colour palette against a solid white background as it suits our website best.

Interviewees information

Twins Alina and Adina are currently students in Dublin studying for a business degree. They grew up interested in the same style and fashion so have dressed exactly the same since they were kids. They describe their style as trendy, casual but with added personality with the use of accessories. They use fashion as a way to express themselves, fashion is a key part of their lives it’s a way for them to tell the world who they are and how close of a bond they have together. Alvin Alvin is a Law and Media student in Dublin who also takes interest in styles and trends. Alvin’s personal style is casual, laid back and takes some inspiration from the eighties. Alvin’s style is a reflection of his taste in music. He credits Travis Scott as one of his style influencers along with Tyler the creator and Kanye West, he believes they have made a big change to his life and given him the confidence to wear the fashion he does now. Alvin’s style reflects his carefree attitude and admiration fo...

Poster Research

Image
For our poster I did some research online and in magazines including Elle and teen vogue to try and get a vision for our poster and what we would like it to emit to the audience. The colour scheme of the poster will have most likely a white background as it will correspond with our website project book and the overall project its self. Style is a blank canvas you choose what you want it to be and what it shows. The white background will help everything on the poster pop out it will make a statement. The colours for the poster will be keeping the same theme as the website. So accent colours such as pastel blues pinks and greens will be present and give the poster a subtle stylish hue without them being too in the audiences face. The poster will show our project overall and what we are about as a team. Fashion Inc. is a place where every viewer should feel welcome its targeted at the age demographic of 16-25 year olds so the poster will have a quite youthful touch to it. The vi...

New Logo

I've updated our logo using Adobe Illustrator to a better standard and design after we recently decided to go for a minimalist look.

Location matching

I did the research into the different areas would work well and match with the person we had inline to interview. For the twins we knew their style was very on trend but also had a sense of sophistication to it. The spot that was perfect for them was Stephens green the landscape would complement their personal style. The girls sense of style was a great match for Stephens green as they tend to spend a lot of their free time around the Stephens green area shopping and keeping an eye on the new trends For Alvin we knew we wanted to interview him in temple bar our original idea to interview him in central temple bar didn’t go to plan so I came up with the idea of shooting in love lane luckily there was no one there at the time so it was quite and perfect to shoot in. Alvin’s style is quite cool and casual with some hidden pieces influenced by rappers. Love Lane was an ideal spot for him as his style went with the vibe of Love Lane completely. Carlos w...
