Website inspiration

Image
For our website we wanted it to be sleek and clean but with a few youthful and personal touches. I did extensive research into websites that we as a group would like to take inspiration from which would help form fashion Inc. Lee Olvera is a blogger, his style of website is very similar to ours it had that sleek contemporary feel we wanted to go for. We liked how he had his navbar it wasn’t too complicated or messy it was precise and had everything it needed in clear view. His use of images is really interesting and modern. We liked how he had a white background but his images where vibrant and eye-catching they were the vocal point the thing that your eyes were drawn to. And Other stories is a clothing website that tells a story through its website with its fashion and styling of clothes. Our website has the same concept we used our locations to try and be an extension of the peoples personalities . Fashion is supposed to be a part of you, your personal s...

Project book design

Image
I've designed our cover for the project book using Adobe InDesign. The images below are first drafts of the cover, since receiving feedback from our supervisors we've decided to create our project book cover as a fashion magazine cover to show clearly what our project is about. While we're working on our official cover I've been experimenting with fonts to find which one is suitable for our brand.

Project book design research

For our project book I started to do some research into magazine covers. As our project is based around fashion and personal style we wanted a cover that reflects the style of our project. I decided to search for minimalist covers as our website and style of interviews are quite clean and with splashes of colour. The design of these tree covers where used as   inspiration for our project book. We liked the use of the “Millennial Pink” which is always a huge trend that is seen everywhere from runways to streetwear. We liked the use of sharp line work that gives definition to the cover and helps give the cover more dimension and interesting to look at it ties everything on the cover together. We went back on our fonts and looked at the ones we used in the website, we wanted to tie everything together and not have too many unnessecary fonts that where of no need. With most covers the font is subdued but makes a statement, with the type there is a 3d element to it or it can be put...

Logo designs 22/02/2020

As I've undertaken the role of the designer I've been creating and designing logos for our group project and brand Fashion Inc. Many logo designs are trial and error so over the past few months I've been experimenting with new logos and creating logos designed by my colleagues. Taking advice from our supervisor Mark we aimed to create a minimalistic yet modern logo that indicates this is a fashion website. Below are some of the more recent logos I created using Adobe Illustrator. From this we're looking and trying to decide on a final logo to display on our project book and website.

Research clothing

Clothes for spinning wheel I did some research into clothing that are on trend but also have elements of past style present. I spent the day finding clothes that can be universal and not just one particular style of person would like. The clothes can all be found on Pinterest so that when you go on the link it can show similar clothing items as well. https://www.pinterest.ie/pin/521713938067414487/ mom jeans https://www.pinterest.ie/pin/19844054593970192/ blouse wrap https://www.pinterest.ie/pin/529524868685010030/ polo shirt https://www.pinterest.ie/pin/370210031849440183/ mens jeans https://www.pinterest.ie/pin/567383253052131662/ mens polo https://www.pinterest.ie/pin/544020829985081052/ womans jumper   https://www.pinterest.ie/pin/823032900627825605/ womans shorts https://www.pinterest.ie/pin/828099450212209516/ womans t-shirt https://www.pinterest.ie/pin/637822365952918836/ mens t...
